RENTER'S REQUIREMENTS / RENTER'S COLLISION INSURANCE OPTION

• Meet the renting locations minimum age requirement of 21. A 'YOUTHFUL RENTER SURCHARGE' will be applied to your rental of $25.00/day x 4.712% HI tax. Renters 21 - 24 years of age may be restricted to specific car classes.
• Valid Driver's License, unexpired government issued driver's license from the United States, U.S. Territories, or Canada which includes a photograph of the customer. The driver's license must be valid for the entire rental period.
• Members of the United States Armed Forces who are active duty may present an expired home state license under the following conditions:
• They also present an Active Military ID
• They are in compliance with their military extension policy of the state which issued the license.

NOTE: 

INTERNATIONAL RENTERS traveling to the United States must check with the Kaua'i Department of Motor Vehicles to ensure compliance regarding licensing laws. 

• Present a major credit card in their name at the time of rental, with available credit. Payment in full will be charged at the time of reservation, deposit will be charged at the time of rental pick-up. In addition to the anticipated cost Methe rental, an additional amount may be required, 

 or 

• Meet the requirements based on their deposit type. Present a debit card or other acceptable form of payment subject to the qualifications outlined in the payment policy, under Terms and Conditions.

• Provide proof of liability, comprehensive and collision insurance per driver or purchase Renter's Collision Protection through Elite Kaua'i Car Rental 

WHAT RENTER'S COLLISION PROTECTION PAYS FOR WHEN PURCHASED

• Pays for any damage done to the rental vehicle (up to $20,000), as long as you do not break the contract, minus a $250.00-$650.00 deductible (paid by Renter).
• Available On: You can purchase Renter's Collision Protection (RCP), on any passenger vehicle up to and including 15-passenger vans.
• Not from the US? No Problem:  You can still purchase Renter's Collision Protection (RCP), from E.K.CAR.
• Restrictions: Individuals with a learner's permit or instructional driving permit are not eligible to rent vehicles or be considered additional drivers on ANY vehicles.
• In Case of an Accident: Make sure you immediately report it to the Police then call your rental office 808-215-0314. Have all of the forms necessary (also located in every vehicle glove compartment).

The surcharge for Drivers between 21- 24 is $25/day plus 4.712% and a 3% credit card processing fee. Drivers between the ages of 21 and 24 may rent the following vehicle classes only: Intermediate, Midsize, Midsize Plus, and Standard with seating of no more than 5-passengers in the vehicle at any given time.
