E.K.CAR Owner & Operator Biba is no stranger to hospitality having been in the business of it 26 plus years. Rental cars are just another opportunity to close the gap where Biba believes service is lacking. Her concept is full-lifestyle service or even easier, one-stop shop. There is no dial 1-6 button option on this company number. 

Services run from vehicle rentals to grocery shop & delivery to hard-to-get restaurant reservations, island activity reservations, cooking demonstrations, private events, packed picnic baskets, private hikes, inter-island travel by helicopter...this is a company providing a service, not just a rental car unless that is truly all you need and even your car rental gets you curbside service.  If you want something different, then Elite Kaua'i Car Rental (also known as E.K.CAR), is the place.  

Just glancing at the Rolodex of cards almost gave me a shiver. Whoa! Private Chefs, hosts, detailers, florists, vendors, direct numbers of anyone she's looking for that will help make your Kaua'i visit fun and fascinating is a dial away and they're happy to answer her call and giggle with her for an hour before getting down to business.

Biba's personalized approach is impossible to describe even watching her. It's quite personal, all of the relationships in her circle, not just her companies and not just her clients (she refers to as Ohana, I know...I am one of them for a long time). I hear Biba speak with people over the phone she's never met while booking reservations and they talk like old buddies; her endless list goes on to hosts at restaurants, customer agents over the phone, security at the Airport most of us try to avoid, even the grocery bagger at Safeway. I sit still watching her connect with almost jealousy I wasn't in on the conversation, all the while as Biba carefully plans details, asks personal questions, commands the conversation from some that otherwise probably wouldn't have bothered in any other format, while her doorbell rings and flowers are being delivered or I glance at a little stack of gift cards she's received from "Ohana" recently as a gift of gratitude for her kindness and job well done. 

Biba hands them off to her staff and is more interested in the cards hanging from her wall then pulls some from a black box she stores more in and starts to read out loud, some dating back years and years with coffee stains or she swears Dr. Pepper stains and maybe a Snicker smudge or two, she still tears up reading. As she looks over and says, "can you believe they wrote that about me? How sweet are they?"
